We need real action not meaningless lawsuits

Some have been touting lawsuits and letters to Santa as a strategy to end the shutdown in our state. It might be good for headlines, but it just demonstrates their lack of experience.

By the time any lawsuit gets resolved this will all be over and the damage will be done to our health, rights and economy. What we really need is for legislators (I’m the only candidate elected to state office) to call themselves back into session and provide needed oversight to the Governor’s actions.

There is already talk that the governor will call a special session. You may wonder what’s the difference? If the Legislature calls itself back, we can control what bills get heard and put limits on what is considered. If the governor does it, it will be a free for all and gives those in control an opportunity to raise more taxes and impose an income tax.
